Moojuice Records presents...
‘Everything Is Simple’ by Dan Lyth
Take a stroll through the catherine wheel imagination of Scottish songsmith Dan Lyth and discover ‘Everything is Simple’!
The sixth release by independent Dunfermline label, Moojuice Records, and Dan's first full length album, ‘Everything is Simple’ is an assembly of beautiful songs that flit comfortably between styles and subject matter to create a truly unique and memorable whole.
From soaring strings to classic Casio beats, each track is brought to life by Dan's attention to detail, intimate vocals and a general unwillingness to be pigeon-holed alongside the growing list of acoustic troubadours nursing broken hearts under the spotlight. Instead, expect a musical journey enriched by performances from a host of talented artists and a set of songs that are just as compelling whether focusing on the minute details of a trip to the circus or a heart-felt call for divine intervention.
With many of the original recordings edited and arranged during his daily commute on the bus from Dunfermline to Glasgow, ‘Everything is Simple’ has been a labour of love that blends homemade charm with the highest of production values. While Dan's wife Sarah hand-made the cover art for the album, the final mastering process for the CD has been completed by New York based Alan Douches, who has performed the same service for such notable artists as Sufjan Stevens, Beirut and Run DMC.
Lose yourself in the intricacies of ‘Everything is Simple’ and discover an artist uncompromising in his determination to look upon music in all its forms and melt it down into pure, unadulterated joy. Simple.

Praise for Dan's debut Album 'Everything Is Simple'
Everything Is Simple is a gentle record, in fact if it was any gentler
you could knock it over with a feather. Dan Lyth’s debut has some very
engaging tunes and evokes the ambience of a forest clearing on a
summer’s morning. Wistfulness, casio beats and light guitar strumming
abound. Opener ‘Ben Nevis’ lays out the path of things to come, a song
so quiet that it’s practically whispering at you. By comparison,
lullaby ‘Castles’ is practically rocking. Elsewhere ‘Colour’ grasps for
the sky on a soaring, glorious melody whilst ‘Take Me Up’ could be a
High Llamas out-take. Everything Is Simple earns your affection with repeated listening but best not operate heavy machinery whilst listening to it. IHEARTAU.COM
Dan Lyth hails from Dunfermline and there’s something refreshingly
Scottish about his chilled-out, acoustic alt-pop. Names like Nizlopi
will inevitably spring to mind when listening to Lyth as tracks like
‘Colour’, ‘God Help Me Tonight’ and ‘Ben Nevis’ come and go. The
musicianship is flawless and the production manages to somehow sound
sparse and epic at the same time. Lyth appears to be playing up and
down the nation regularly, so check out his website and treat yourself
to a night out. You won’t be disappointed. ACOUSTIC MAGAZINE
Praise for Dan's debut EP 'Breathe Easy'
"Quite simply put, Dan Lyth writes beautiful music. It is striking that
this is not a 'one-style-suits-all' kind of release, with tracks
ranging from the utterly tender to upbeat. If this young Scot-cum-Manc
had greater exposure it would certainly be him on the commercial radio
network every twenty minutes, and Dan Lyth would thoroughly deserve it" High Voltage
"Sensational back to basics acoustic bliss. This is aural ecstasy" Manchester Music Review
